Not supported

ArtFrame is an Android TV screensaver app. It needs a device that runs Google TV or Android TV and lets a computer install apps and choose the screensaver. These don’t.
| System | Found on | Why it can’t work |
|---|---|---|
| Fire TV (Fire OS 8+) | Amazon Fire TV sticks and Cubes; Fire TV editions of Toshiba, Panasonic (2025), Hisense, Insignia, TCL | Amazon’s own Ambient Experience replaces third-party screensavers; the known workaround stopped working from Fire OS 8.1. |
| Fire TV (Vega OS) | Fire TV Stick 4K Select (2025) and all newer Fire TV Sticks | Not Android: no way to install Android apps at all. |
| Fire TV (Fire OS 7) | Older Fire TV devices | Possible with extra settings ArtFrameRemote doesn’t make. Not supported. |
| Roku TV | Roku players; Roku editions of TCL, Hisense, Sharp (US) | Roku’s own system. |
| Tizen | Samsung | Samsung’s own system. |
| webOS | LG | LG’s own system. |
| VIDAA | Most Hisense outside the US; Toshiba Europe | Hisense’s own system. |
| Titan OS, Saphi | Philips 2026 range, entry Philips 2023–25; older budget Philips | TP Vision’s own systems. |
| tvOS | Apple TV | Apple’s own system; no third-party screensavers. |
| my Home Screen, TiVo | Older and entry Panasonic | Panasonic’s own systems. |
What to do instead
Plug a supported streaming device into the TV and use that as your input:
- Google TV Streamer or Chromecast with Google TV: see their guides.
- NVIDIA SHIELD TV: also lets you pick ArtFrame in its own menus.
- onn. Google TV 4K (Walmart): an inexpensive option.
ArtFrame then runs on the streaming device and shows on the TV through HDMI.
