Google’s 2024 set-top box, the first device to ship with Android TV 14.
At a glance
| OS | Google TV, Android TV 14 |
| Connection | Wi‑Fi: Wireless debugging pairing code. Ethernet: sources conflict ⚠️ |
| After a restart | Wireless debugging is off, the port changes; reconnect |
| ArtFrame as screensaver | Set by ArtFrameRemote |
| Show It Now | May not work (Android 14) |
Setup
- Settings › System › About › Android TV OS build ×7.
- Settings › System › Developer options › Wireless debugging on, then Pair device with pairing code.
- ArtFrameRemote, Connect step: open the pairing option and enter the pairing address, code and the connect address (details).
- ArtFrameRemote sets ArtFrame as the screensaver.
- Settings › System › Power and energy: set the Energy saver / shut-off timer (reportedly defaults to 20 minutes) longer than the screensaver delay, which should be 10 minutes or more.
Ethernet ⚠️
One guide says USB debugging plus port 5555 works when the Streamer is on Ethernet; forum reports say debugging over a wired connection fails. Use Wi‑Fi for setup. If you rely on Ethernet and it works, please tell us.
After a restart
Turn Wireless debugging back on, then Connect in ArtFrameRemote. The screensaver selection itself is kept.
